Do You Need Brush Clearing or Land Clearing?
Most property owners call asking for “land clearing” when what they picture is somewhere on a spectrum. On the lighter end is brush clearing: knocking down palmettos, briars, saplings, and overgrowth so you can walk the property, see the boundaries, and use the ground again. The soil is mostly left alone and the job moves fast.
Heavier land clearing goes further. Trees come out, stumps and root balls come out, and the surface gets root raked so it’s workable rather than just visually clear. That’s the level you need when something is going to be built, fenced, paved, or planted on that ground.
A lot of jobs end up being a mix — light clearing across most of the property and heavier work only where a pad, driveway, or fence line is going. Walking it with you and talking through the end goal is usually the fastest way to figure out which you need. We wrote a longer comparison in brush clearing vs. land clearing.
